Wreck It Ralph DVD - Great Movie For Family Time

Disney Wreck it Ralph Movie
My grandson, daughter, and I watched this DVD last week on a rainy afternoon while we were trapped indoors.  We got a bunch of movie candy from Walgreens and some blankets and camped out in my daughter's living room for an afternoon of family time.  It's a cute Disney movie starring John C Reilly and Sarah Silverman.  It's the story of a bunch of video arcade game characters and what happens after the arcade closes at night.  They can travel to other games through the electric cables.  I loved the story and think it's a great choice for a DVD collection, whether you're 6 or 56.  Read more about it by clicking the following link.

Rose Cottage From Franklin Mint

Franklin Mint Rose Cottage
This is sort of a new project.  It's a Rose Cottage resin dollhouse from Franklin Mint.  There were just 2,500 made back in the late 1990s and I found this one on Craigs List.  The reason I say it's a "sort of" project is that it is missing a few pieces of the original furniture and there are a few places on the house that need minor repairs.  I'm not sure if I'm going to restore it myself or sell it on eBay.  It's very heavy so it will be a lot of work to ship if it sells.  I got a great deal on it though and I may just play with it for a while and then see if I can sell it for a little profit.  Here is the inside so far.  And lots more pictures on my blog.

Meet My Emerald The Enchanting Witch Dolls

Fitzcharmings Twin Emerald Witch Dolls
These little cuties are over 40 years old.  They were released in 1972 by Milton Bradley and Girls World and quickly discontinued.  Their purple skin and mint green hair are just a couple of their unique features.  Their eyes also blink green when the lights go out.  I got them matching dresses on one of the few websites that makes clothes in their tiny 6 1/2" size.  Learn all about Emerald the Enchanting Witch Dolls in my blog article.

Calico Critters Dollhouses For My LPS Blythe Dolls

Tiny Calico Critters Dollhouses
My Littlest Pet Shop Blythe dolls got a cute surprise today.  Some new dollhouses to play with courtesy of Calico Critters and Sylvanian Families.  LPS Blythe is only 4 inches tall so you can imagine how tiny the houses are.  This is the Autumn Glam Blythe.  She and her sister Blythe girls are loving playing dolls now. And look at the teensy furniture.  There is even a dollhouse inside a dollhouse.  The smaller house with the blue roof will eventually go into the Lalaloopsy Mini house.  Pretty cool when your dollhouse has a dollhouse.  View more pics on my blog.

Sharing The Finished Interior of My Lalaloopsy Mini Dollhouse

Custom Mini Lalaloopsy Dollhouse
I finished up the inside of the dollhouse for my Mini Lalaloopsy dolls this afternoon.  It was sew fun to make and the dollies love the result.  They've already moved in and are making themselves at home.  It's got living areas downstairs and a bedroom, sewing room and garden rooms upstairs.  I used an unfinished wood house from Michaels and lots of scrapbook paper, buttons, paint and stickers to decorate.  I've got lots of detailed pictures along with the before and after shots on my Diary of a Dollhouse blog.  You can view the whole article when you click the link below.

C A Cupid Transferrs To Ever After High

Anyone that collects Monster High or Ever After High dolls knows that C A Cupid, the daughter of Eros, transferred over to Ever After High early last year.  She got a complete makeover and I snagged one of the new dolls for my collection the other day.  I've got lots of pictures of her in my latest Diary of a Dollhouse blog post.  Here she's giving romance advice to Asylynn Ella and Hunter Huntsman from Ever After High.  I love these dolls.  Especially because they are still available everywhere and the prices haven't gone sky high yet.

Ghoul Spirit Spectra Vondergeist Doll - My Cheap Purchase

Right before Christmas I was browsing Amazon and found a bunch of Monster High dolls marked WAY down. They were all under $10.  I think this Spectra was $7.  I had told myself "No More Monster High dolls!" for a while.  But that sale was just too hard to resist.  The markdown only lasted a couple of days and it wasn't advertised, I just happened to stumble on it.  They were all sold by Amazon, not 3rd party sellers and I'm guessing they didn't sell as many as expected for Christmas and wanted to move them out.  So it pays to check Amazon prices every now and again.  NOW no more Monster High dolls.  Mattel is killing my budget.  I have to quit spending money.

Anyway this Ghoul Spirit Spectra Vondergeist doll is a basic version and one of the recent releases.  You can read all about her on my blog.

Newest Littlest Pet Shop Blythe Dolls

I added Pinwheels and Daisies and Autumn Glam to my Littlest Pet Shop Blythe Doll collection this past week.  They are a couple of the discontinued sets that are still readily available for purchase at stores like Toys r Us and Tuesday Morning.  I tried to sell them on Amazon, really I did, but I decided if there's no profit to be made then they should come home and live with me.  Here they join a couple of the other Blythe LPS dolls in a new dollhouse room that I'll be writing about soon.
